The artist Floraine Marchix dedicated the google doodle to the workers involved in the construction of the Eiffel Tower. It is said 150 workers were employed at the factory and 150 at the construction site.

Google Doodle Today : Hasan Fathy’s 117th Birthday

The Egyptian architect is known for preserving Egyptian architectural legacy and exploring new methods that respected tradition. The google doodle features the entire adobe manufacturing process, a woman who is farming, cattle, geese, and illustrations of his passive cooling techniques. A picture of Fathy himself shaking hands with a member of his locality can also be seen.

Google Doodle Today : Kenzo Tange’s 100th Birthday

Tange’s famous arena, the Yoyogi National Gymnasium built for the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, is illustrated in this google doodle in the form of a conceptual model. Alongside the physical model, a sketch of Kenzo Tange putting together the building block is also seen.

Zaha Hadid was the first woman to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004, and this doodle is a celebration of the same. The google doodle features Heydar Aliyev Center, one of the most iconic projects by Zaha. Abstract curved lines are also tossed around drawing inspiration from Zaha’s famous quote, “There are 360 degrees, so why stick to one?”

Google Doodle Today : Frank Lloyd Wright’s 138th Birthday

Known for designing over 1000 structures in his lifetime, this google doodle is a memoir of some of Wright’s most memorable works like The Falling Waters and The Guggenheim Museum interpreted as alphabets of the doodle. A primary color scheme of red, yellow and blue along with a dash of green for landscape has been used.
